Neil D. Prescott Student Teaching / Internship Scholarship

The Washington State School Retirees Association is offering a one-time scholarship for $1,000 in each of its eight regions in the state (the high school of attendance will be in one of those regions). Additionally, in each region, there are local units of WSSRA that may also elect to award scholarships to the applicants in the applicant pool that is collected and read in March.

Applicants Must:

  • Have graduated from a Washington State high school and presently enrolled in a college of education, anywhere, pursuing a career in a field of education; or
  • If a Washington State resident who graduated from a Department of Defense high school and presently enrolled in a college of education, anywhere, pursuing a career in a field of education; or
  • Presently pursuing a Masters-In-Teaching Certificate (see #3 below for transcript information); and
  • Profess a plan to apply for employment with a school district(s) within Washington State.
